With funding received from the Big Lottery (BASIS), Barking & Dagenham CVS continue to provide support to management committees with the aim of developing the skills and knowledge of trustees, build confidence and increase involvement in developing their organisation.

We offer a range of specific support including:

• Offering in-house training to Boards on their
  • Roles & responsibilities 
  • How to conduct effective meetings 
  • Taking & presenting minutes 
• Training on Recruiting and Retaining Trustees and Succession Planning
• Guidance on developing induction packs
• Resources on good governance

Responding to the demand from trustees and members, the Charity Trustee Networks (CTN) had launched its new online service for posting and searching trusteeship vacancies across the UK.

You can search for a trustee or management committee vacancy anywhere in the UK. Charities or trustees who register with trusteenet can also post their own board vacancies to be viewed by the thousands of visitors to the site. www.trusteefinder.org.uk
