Social EnterpriseCapacity Building Workshops

The Social Enterprise Project has started organising Capacity Building workshops for SENSE members. Our aim is to enable entrepreneurs to develop their skills and in turn their businesses.

The first of these workshops, 'Marketing on a shoestring', took place on the 19th June and was facilitated by SENSE network member Wendy Jackson form Bite Sized Marketing.

The second workshop tackling the problem of basic payroll took place on the 2nd of September. It was highly attended not only by the SENSE members, but also the members of other voluntary organisations. The training has been provided thanks to another SENSE member Saiful Islam from Glory Community Accounting Service

Third and forth sessions were facilitated by Social Enterprise London.

The Introduction to the Tendering in Social Enterprise and How to win the contracts was prepared by Mei Yee Hui and Angela Heap. The second SEL workshop discussing Social Enterprise legal structures workshop was prepared by Sabina Khan and Mei Yee Hui.

Both workshops were highly attended and appreciated by our SENSE members. Barking & Dagenham Social Enterprise Project is plannig future workshops aiming at helping local Social Enterpronures with their companies.
