Who we are:

The Barking & Dagenham CVS Social Enterprise Project is part of the wider enterprise development programme funded by the Local Growth Initiative (LEGI). The project seeks assist in the economic regeneration of Barking & Dagenham by promoting and facilitating a wide range of entrepreneurial opportunities for individuals, community groups and social enterprises across the borough.

The Project provides you with high quality business advice and support to assist you and your organisation to successfully establish and develop your enterprise.

We are here to:

• Provide one to one business advice, information and outreach support
• Listen, talk through and focus your idea
• Guide you in the right direction
• Give you the opportunity to benefit from an extensive network of business support and opportunities across the borough to further develop your idea

What we can do for you:

• Provide friendly, confidential and supportive advice to develop your enterprise ideas through an extensive network of support in the borough
• Take viable ideas and work through the business planning process to develop a robust business model
• Assist organisations to identify enterprising market opportunities
• Help with company registrations and governance issues

Just ask yourself the following questions to establish if your idea, project or enterprise could benefit from our support.

• Will your business provide services or products that would otherwise be unavailable to local people?
• Will your profits/surpluses be reinvested in the enterprise or community?
• Will your enterprise provide employment or training opportunities for local people?
• Are you a community organisation seeking to become sustainable?
• Are you a community group with an enterprising idea?
• Are you an individual with a an enterprise idea that will benefit the community?
