As an organisation, Barking & Dagenham CVS aims to:

• Provide a friendly, professional and reliable service
• Listen actively to local groups and reach out to local communities
• Promote and demonstrate good practice
• Provide an effective channel between the voluntary and community sector and other agencies
• Not claim to speak for the voluntary and community sector, but to promote the sector and enable appropriate representation
