Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to the staff, trustees and volunteers of voluntary and community organisations, networks, partnerships and social enterprises in the borough. These include:

• A quarterly newsletter containing information on funding, training, events and services
• Training on a wide range of areas, including financial management, fundraising, the role and responsibility of trustees, first aid, health & safety, recruiting & managing staff and volunteers
• Dedicated one to one development support on all the above areas and more
• Specialist support to anyone interested in setting up their own social enterprise
• Training and support conducted in organisations’ own premises and at convenient times, including evenings and weekends
• A resource centre for groups to access relevant development materials, IT packages and the internet
• Networking events to bring groups together to share ideas and experiences

Barking & Dagenham CVS works in partnership with other local, regional and national agencies, which provide support to voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises. If a local organisation requires specialist support or information which we cannot provide ourselves, we will endeavour to obtain the support from the most relevant source in the most convenient way for that organisation.
