Dianne Challis - Chair
Dianne currently works for B&D CAB. Previously, she was the Co-ordinator of Thames Side Community Support responsible for running the centre and recruiting and managing staff. Dianne has also worked as a volunteer for Scope and has been active as a church warden, school governor and guide leader.
Marion Waruguru - Vice-Chair
Marion is the Development Officer/Administrator for the Women's Interfaith Network, responsible for planning activities that promote respect and understanding among women of the diverse religions represented in the UK. She is a founding member of the Women's Development Partnership (formerly Migrant Women's Network) having served on a number of different Boards and Committees, including local grant making bodies.
Dennis Riley - Treasurer
Dennis has been a member of the CVS Board of Trustees since 1993 and is currently Treasurer. As well as participating on the Boards of Age Concern and CAB, Dennis is president of Dagenham Rotary Club and a governor of Sydney Russell School and has been actively involved in the sector since 1950.
Bernard Graham
Bernard worked in the borough for 8 years, including the Local Authority, CVS and Community Consortium. For 2 years, Bernard worked for Communities in Action, and was previously the Chair of EMPA for 2 years.
Sitnah Palmer
Sitnah joined the CVS Board of Trustees in 2005. She currently manages and co-ordinates projects and activities of BADAWA, including the finances, grant applications and strategic focus.
Blossom Burt
Blossom has been the Deputy Project Manager at YWCA Dagenham since 2002, responsible for networking, partnership work and fundraising. Blossom supports young women with their self-development and interpersonal skills and has also acted as a tutuor and educational advisor. Blossom has extensive experience as a member of several Boards and Committees.
Horace Lewis
Horace joined the CVS Board of Trustees in 2002. He is Centre Manager of a Youth and Adult Education Centre in Newham and serves on the Board of Barking & Dagenham African Welfare Association (BADAWA).
Liz Cadzow
Liz has worked as a social worker in the borough, and previously managed CAB for 5 years. She currently works in Havering and is also a Board member of Havering, Barking and Brentwood Alcohol Advisory Service.
Cllr. Jean Alexander
Cllr. Alexander is the Cabinet Member for Crime, Justice & Communities and represents Eastbury Ward in the borough.
